Small groups, play-based learning, and curriculum that meets each child at their own level.
Each child explores, understands and relates information differently. Our goal at Sprouts is to identify how your child learns best and create learning opportunities that engage them. Small groups enable students to accelerate through the program individually.
At Sprouts, growth is something we do often. We grow in a way that’s unique because we teach exceptionally talented children, children who inspire us. We believe in a culture of growth, in discovering new gifts and in developing young talented minds.

Designed for the youngest members of our community, Little Sprouts serves as a gentle, welcoming introduction to the school environment. For many children, this is their very first preschool experience away from home. Our focus is on nurturing a secure sense of belonging, easing the transition into school life, and establishing early foundations for learning. Through a warm and supportive environment, we help our little ones build comforting routines, navigate structured group settings, and spark a lifelong love of discovery.

Junior Sprouts is thoughtfully designed for children who are ready to take the next step in their early education journey. This program is a dynamic blend of three- and four-year-olds, beautifully accommodating younger children with earlier birthdays who are already showing readiness for a more robust daily rhythm. With a focus on expanding social-emotional dynamics and deeper peer connections, Junior Sprouts bridges the gap between early socialization and collaborative learning. As part of this comprehensive program, our Friday classes transition into an immersive outdoor Nature School experience, allowing children to expand their learning directly into the natural world.

Kinder Sprouts is our comprehensive Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten program combined. Crafted for our oldest learners, this intentional experience blends academic readiness with creative, child-led inquiry. To foster deep environmental connection and resilience, Tuesdays and Thursdays are spent entirely in Nature School alongside our dedicated educators.
Additionally, every other Friday, our Kinder Sprouts visit Crofton Manor to participate in our unique Intergenerational Learning Program, where they connect, share stories, and build beautiful, meaningful relationships with their “Grand-Friends.” This complete program ensures each child feels confident, socially responsible, and fully prepared for the school years ahead.

At Nature School we spend each class outside in the forest. We are very lucky to have Musqueam Park and Pacific Spirit Park close to Sprouts where we can enjoy the outdoors in all weather conditions. We begin the class at Sprouts with focused activities and stories in the classroom that follow a theme, and then we move into the forest for free play where the environment is the third teacher. Some themes that we follow include the changing seasons, life cycles of local plants and animals, the water cycle, and how to be an environmentally conscious member of the community. Children who attend Nature School build resilience and an appreciation for the great outdoors. The benefits of breathing in fresh air and playing outside are next to none.
Nature School programs are often packaged with lunch supervision and Little Sprouts, STEMlings, and Junior Sprouts. Your child is able to attend both programs, be supervised for lunch and dressed to head into the forest.

Designed as a gentle, low-pressure transition at the end of the school day, The Creative Outlet offers children a safe and inspiring space to unwind, express themselves, and decompress. Rather than just a holding hour, this time is focused on open-ended creative play, artistic exploration, and relaxing social connections. It is the perfect afternoon rhythm for little ones to recharge their minds, work with their hands, and smoothly transition from their school day before heading home.
Registration opens during the school year. Care is not offered on Fridays to allow educators dedicated time for preparation.

Our dedicated midday lunch care designed for children staying with us between morning and afternoon programs. The Nourished Table provides a supervised transition for children whose schedules bridge multiple programs. Our educators are there to gently guide the children as they wind down, helping them change out of their outdoor gear and settle comfortably into the indoor space. As the children eat their lunch, the teacher reads a storybook aloud, creating a calm, nourishing, and cozy environment.
Please note that parents are required to pack a completely nut-free lunch for their child.
